Here Comes Santa Claus!

What a weekend! We heard on Thursday night that Santa comes around on a firetruck every year along with entourage of firemen and paramedic vehicles. We were one of the last neighborhoods to be visited Saturday night. The kids were all on edge from about 7:00 and each time we heard the sirens, they'd jump and check. About 9:00 the sirens got pretty loud, so we knew he was almost there. To make it an even better night, it was snowing. The kids were thrilled and we had a great time..

the white specks are snow..

Sierra had her Thanksgiving feast at school and was very excited to wear her pilgrim outfit.

We got our tree up and our angel spinney candle thing and started our 4 week out Christmas singing followed by chocolates. The kids are pretty excited about this whole month!

Such cute pictures! Very jealous you have snow (though I do not envy the freezing early-morning seminary thing). Hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas!!!

We have one of these (http://www.plowhearth.com/product.asp?section_id=0&department=0&search_type=normal&search_value=chime&cur_index=&pcode=9123) and the 4th Sunday out we light one candle and each person picks a Christmas song. We finish off with Silent Night or Away in a Manger. The next week, we light two and so on til the Sunday before Christmas we light all and sing. After singing, we all get a piece of chocolate. yum! It's a fun count down.
