Trebuchet

Today at the Science Museum it was a 'You bring it we, fling it!' day. Who can resist going to something like that?! The Virginia Military Institute brought their Trebuchet down and sent all sorts of things thru the air. It was pretty cool! Being myself, I naturally remembered the camera..... as we stepped out of the car. Oops! Thank goodness for cell phones. Bary was able to capture these shots as the kids helped load and launch the trebuchet. The guys from VMI were very nice and let the kids do most of the work. :D
Beanie babies, ice, pumpkins, watermelons, bowling balls, a router, and a basketball all bit the dust while we were there. The bowling ball went several times before breaking in two (they're very interesting inside) and then went again and sacrificed itself into several pieces so all children present that wanted a piece could take some.

Only you guys would find a place where they would launch anything you provided. I can't decide if my favorite is the router...or the bowling ball. Classic! (This entry may have me sold on moving to Virginia).

Wish we could find things like this to do in California without it costing what feels like your entire paycheck! Things are very different here without you, the Barlows and Allens. We miss you all here in Cali!
