Luray

What do you do when the AC is out? Head underground! That is exactly what we did this past weekend. We were fortunate enough to be able to meet up with my brother Greg and his family and tour the caverns with them. It was so much fun to see everyone (we did miss seeing Michael) and can’t believe how grown-up everyone is.

The caverns were incredible. It’s so crazy what can be found just few feet under our roads and buildings! I think my favorite part of the cavern was Dream Lake. The water was so fantastically clear and clean and the reflection was amazingly real. It was hard to even tell that it was a reflection of the ceiling and not the stalagmites from the ground. The kids all had a great time looking for the 5 treasures hidden in the caverns. Did you know that it takes about 120 years for a stalagmite or stalactite to grow a cubic inch?
Thanks Greg and crew for a fun afternoon! Already can’t wait til next time.

Sounds like tons of fun. Wish we could have been there too.
