Bary was able to do a century bike ride over the weekend.. well, it actually turned into a 3/4th of a century for him due to 'bike problems' but since I wasn't there... we'll have to take his word for it. :) Razz him if you can.
In other news, Bary was also put in as the cubmaster in our ward. Josh is pretty excited and Bary is liking it as well.
We got the girls room painted and decorated-it's very cute. I found fun vinyl sticky things at the Dollar Tree in princesses, dots, flowers, and lettering for the girls and a wide variety of sports stuff for the boys. They are pretty excited. This week I'll be painting the boys room, and then we'll get some pictures up.
When I was at home depot today buying paint, a guy also getting paint spent a few minutes lecturing me on the proper paint finish for a child's room. Although the finish I got (Flat enamel, recommended by home depot as well as several friends with kids) says it's great for kids room and is scrubbable, according to the local paint expert, it is in fact the worst finish you can buy. Satin is the way to go for a child's room. I was very polite and thanked him for his advice. He then handed me his card (he was a painter) and told me that when I got frustrated with the whole project to give him a call. Thanks sir! I've promptly filed your card away in the ol' circular file. :)

Actually Candace and I agree with the local paint expert. After 5 years we have finally covered up all the ugly and unscrubbable flat and eggshell finishes in our home and replaced them with the satin finish.
Is that Bary's uncle?
yeah. He had jerseys made for him and Bary that said Team Dalton on the back.. He got into cycling about 18 months ago.
