Happy Halloween!

I can't believe we're already into November! I was amazed that the stores are already playing Christmas music! Did they used to start it so soon?

We love our fire pit! The weather has been cooperating lately and we've enjoyed many a fire on the back deck. The kids are already planning back yard campouts for next summer. Not really a bad idea. Fire, tent, yet all of the comforts of home with no packing!

Halloween was crazy and fun this year. Bary was able to go to Utah to spend some time with his parents and be there for the blessing of Blake's baby. I'm hoping someone took pics while he was there and that I'll see them. He had a wonderful time and although we missed him, were glad he went.
We had some interesting pumpkins this year. Who knew that the came in so many colors and shapes and sizes! Josh had a warty reddish orange one. Marsh and Katelyn had white ones and Sierra had a greenish grey one. They all looked 'normal' on the inside much to the kids dismay. They had a great time carving and I was happy everyone gutted their own and I didn't need to help.

Here are the finished products. Like my sister says thank goodness for digital photography. I could have gotten a better shot I'm sure, but quit trying (sorry) They're already planning designs for next years carving.

Last but not least, here are the costumes for this year. They trick or treated themselves into a collective 8-10 lbs of candy (wow!) All in all it was a really fun night.

Katelyn was a valley girl, Josh a baseball player, Marshall a bucket of slime, and Sierra, a princess. The baby pumpkin is our neighbor Stanton who shared the night with us.

We have a fire pit too and love it. The kids' costumes look great. What did you use for Marshall's slime?

I love the Valley Girl! That's what I dressed up as many a year back in the day.
