Memorial Weekend

This year we headed back down to the OBX area and stayed in a great house in Corolla. We could see the beach from the front of the house and it was a short walk from the house. It was a perfect weather week!
The kids started off exploring the house and quickly found a little tree frog out by the pool. (The house backed up to a creek/small river) It was the house pet for a few hours and then we let it go. The next night we found several out by the hot tub. They must have loved the warm moist environment. The kids thought they were pretty cool.
We spent the weekend exploring the beach, collecting shells, playing in the surf, and hoping to find Katelyn's glasses. (They ended up in the surf-ouch!)

We also saw some amazing sunsets. I'm still getting used to the sun not setting on the water out here (and that west is away from the water, not toward it)
