Forgetful

A few weeks ago, we were cleaning up in the garage and getting some things organized. I saw the stroller and remembered that it needed to go back in the car. I didn't have my keys on me, so I set it behind the suburban-kinda propped up against the back of the car figuring I'd for sure remember it there.
Sunday morning. We're leaving for church and as Bary backs out of the driveway there is a bump. Oops.. forgot to put the stroller INTO the car. Sigh. Oh well. At least Sierra is getting to the point where it's not really a necessity. It's pretty shot--the wheels are all skewed and the handle is better suited now for someone in the 3-4 foot range
In other news, Josh is having a blast playing fall baseball. He had the first hit of the game (for his team) his last game and made an impressive slide-almost caught on camera- into 3rd. He has a goal to hit a homer, and almost made it Sat.. I think there are 4 more games to the season, so we'll see.

Today (Columbus day) the kids ended up having off. We drove down to Battlefield Park and rode bikes along several forts used by both the Confederate and Union armies. It was pretty cool to see the trenches that were used. There was a 2.5 mile long stretch that the Union armies dug out and defended that are still there.

This was our end point today. The kids ended up putting about 8 miles in on their bikes. They were all troopers.

This was my view on the ride. I was designated as picking up the tail. The scenery was beautiful. If you look close, you can see mounding on the right--remnants of the trenches from the Union side.

Sierra did great. It was her first day on the tag-a-long and she loved it. She was a great help to Bary in getting up the tough hills. :)
