Out with the old, in with the new!

This has been a sad few weeks. We enjoyed the last bit of summer and hit the beach over Labor day weekend.(not the sad part yet) Had a great time playing in the water and relaxing in the sand. (nope, this isn't it yet either) On our way home, (yep, here it comes) our beloved suburban started acting strangely. I couldn't figure it out. We've loved her.. taken good care of her. Fed her, washed her, etc.. how could she do this to me?! We took her in to get checked and found out that she would be with us no longer. No times for goodbyes even! We had to put her down (sob) We'll miss you ol girl! You almost made it to 200K... so close.

SO, we've been juggling schedules and trying to make it with one car for just over a week until we could decide what to do and find something.

We finally were able to go look today. Got the kids off to school and hit the road. Success! Welcome to the family lil' Honda!

Now that school is back in session and I have a new set of wheels, I can get caught up on all we've done in the past month or so. Hopefully posted soon!

Sweet new ride! That's great that you almost got 200k on the surburban, maybe we'll look into one of those. I really don't ever want to buy a mini van.

Great choice! I am a mini van owner and always swore I wouldn't be either. However, today I think I'd be more embarrassed to say I drive a gas-guzzler SUV (of course your Honda is not). Our little mini van is up to 140K and gets about 28-30 mpg. Can't complain about that. Have decided to begin setting aside the necessary funds though for it's final days as well. It will be a sad day for Grace when "Buddy" doesn't come home. Yes, Grace has given the van a name! Enjoy your new car! One less worry is always nice.
