Spring Break!

This past week was our spring break. We had a great time. Bary was able to take a few days off and we built our square foot garden. (pics coming later) It's mostly done.. just a few finishing touches and then the planting-yay! It's weird to not have planted yet as in CA we were doing that in Feb. Mostly it's because of not having the time to build the box, and a little on the weather. Wednesday we headed up north to Chantilly to the National Air and Space museum at the Dulles airport. There is one at the national mall in DC and this second location. I think Bary said it was larger, and holds more as well as having most of it's display falling into the never before been displayed category. They also boast having a real live actual space shuttle. SO cool.


This one is hard to see, but Bary and the kids are in front of an SR-71 Blackbird. It's a super fast plane and Bary's fav.


Thursday we went with some friends to a place called Maymont. It's about a 100 acre estate in the middle of Richmond. Not sure on the history of it all, but it had an aquarium, petting zoo, main house, and a bunch more we didn't even get to. It was a beautiful day and the kids loved being out and able to run around.






We spent today coloring eggs and talking about Easter. The kids will have new dresses and ties (shh. it's a surprise). We'll post some pics of them tomorrow.

I have to add this last one. It just makes me laugh. We were at the space museum and I said to the girls to act like they were having fun and Sierra's face is awesome..
